About the event
There are many CAVC practitioners who have never had to do billable hours, and it can be difficult to review EAJA applications when you don’t have any experience to draw on. The purpose of this program will be to give those who have never been on the appellants’ side an opportunity to understand how various appellants’ counsel approach cases and compile EAJA applications. The panelists will provide their insight on topics such as block billing, billing for purportedly administrative tasks, reasonableness of time spent on record review, and reasonableness of time spent on research. They will also share practitioners' tips for providing clarity in EAJA applications and provide information on the CAVC EAJA conference process.
