About the event
The CAVC Bar Association is excited to present a panel discussion focused on ways to help bring finality to more decisions on appeal.  Specifically, panel participants will tackle how VA, Appellant’s counsel, and the Court can all work within the Court's current framework to reach a final resolution of matters on appeal from the Board. That current framework includes the applicable standards of review, harmless error, and the Court’s inability to find facts in the first instance. Â
Panelists:
The Honorable Michael P. Allen of the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims
The Honroable Amanda L. Meredith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims
The Honorable Joseph L. Â Toth of the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims
James Ridgeway of Bergmann & Moore, LLC
Ronen Morris of U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of General Counsel
Please join us for a reception and happy hour to be held immeidately following the panel discussion. Â Â
